Sodium Sulfate Anhydrous
Synonyms: Sodium Sulphate Anhydrous, Bisodium Sulfate, Disodium Monosulfate, Disodium Sulfate
It is a crystalline or fine white, water-soluble powder, CAS#7757-82-6, it is also know as thenardite and salt cake. Sodium Sulfate is an important chemical raw material and the main raw material for production of sodium sulfide, sodium silicate and other nutritional supplements, such as D-Glucosamine Sulfate Sodium Chloride, Chondroitin Sulfate and so on.
Melting Point is at 884ºC, the relative density is at around 2.68g/ml. Soluble in water, glycerol and insoluble in ethanol.
Usage:
Sodium Sulfate is the component of synthetic detergent and is a neutral salt.
The pharmaceutical industry applies it as laxatives. It can also be used in non-ferrous metallurgy and leather.
The food production industry applies it as an important raw material to manufacture nutritional supplement, including D-Glucosamine Sulfate Sodium Chloride, Chondroitin Sulfate, etc.
